Mountain Laurel Montessori Collective offers a child centered approach to learning; teaching to the child’s ability, interests, and style of learning.  Dr. Montessori coined this child centered approach as, “follow the child”.   Our students are self directed and taught to be independent learners, in turn they develop a lifelong love of learning. We focus on the whole child developing social and emotional skills while honoring the light in every child. The unique mixed age Montessori classroom offers a family like classroom community, where the children are teaching and caring for each other.  Our holistic Montessori approach to learning is designed to fill the needs of all of our students. When we hear our children saying they don’t want to leave, we know we’ve done our job.
